2022-2023 NPSD Bell Schedules

Below, you will find the bell schedules, bus schedules, and car rider schedules for the 2022-2023 school year. As some of you know, we are implementing a change in the way our buses have transported all of our students on the same buses regardless of grade level. In short, we will no longer transport our young elementary students on the same buses as our junior high and high school students. Furthermore, this will eliminate the chaos of all of our bus riders loading at the elementary in the afternoon. There are many reasons for this change, but at the center of  the rationale is student safety.

Keep in mind, it is not the role of the school district to think of creative ways to eliminate or minimize parental responsibility related to the supervision of children before or after school hours. It is my legal duty as Superintendent to establish the day to day operations, routines, and schedules of the school district in such a manner as to maintain safety, efficiency, and effectiveness in order to maximize learning. Because we understand that arrangements may need to be made by some parents as a result of this change, this notice is being posted fifty-three days in advance of the implementation which will begin on August 8, 2022.

Should you have any questions, please contact your child's principal or the Transportation Department. You may find these contact numbers on this website.

Have a great summer, and we look forward to seeing your children in August!

Jay Smith

Superintendent

Important Information Concerning P-EBT Cards

Mississippi is preparing for another round of P-EBT benefits if the state receives federal approval. Cards for newly eligible students will be mailed to the ***mailing address ***on file at the school.

All parents need to make sure we have your most current mailing address before the end of the school year.

If you already have a P-EBT card, make sure you hang on to that card for any new benefits that may be issued.
